Friday 12th October 2018 will be the start of a new Challenge by Great Scottish Events, The Great Scottish 100. The event will take place over a period of seven days and covering some of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes.
The Concept: A walk challenge of 100 miles in six days over six different routes throughout Scotland. Each route will average 16.5 miles. The final and 100th mile will be The Royal Mile Walk all participants will parade down Edinburgh’s Royal Mile to the official finishing line at the Palace of Holyrood.
The Great Scottish 100 is designed to be a challenging but achievable event. Participants can enter as a team of four or six people or individuals.
No time to spare or would you prefer a shorter alterative? Then why not choose two or three consecutive days out of the six, over routes that you like .You could also choose just one of the routes and have a great day out walking or running.
Start area activities. In addition to The Great Scottish 100 a series of fundraising and accessible mini walks will be held at each start area. This will be ideal for local participants not taking part in the main event.
The Great Scottish 100 finishes on Friday 19th October 2018 with The Royal Mile Walk and presentation of medals and Trophies.
